“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if
we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he
hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” – 1 John
5:14-15 NIV
We know that the “prayer of a righteous person is powerful
and effective.” (James
5:16) But what kind of prayer is a righteous prayer? The righteous prayer
is to pray in the Holy Spirit, which means praying according to the will of God
with our humilities before Him – “If you abide in me, and my words abide in
you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John
15:7) This is because the peace of God will flow within us that will guard
our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus:
“Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your
requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians
4:6-7)
We know this because Jesus, Himself said to us: “Peace I
leave with you; my peace I give you. I do NOT give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John
14:27)
After all, the word of God states in James
4:2-3: “... You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you
do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you
get on your pleasures,” – we OUGHT to concern the will of God, then pray in
FULL-DEVOTION through Holy Spirit, for “The Holy Spirit will teach you at that
time what you should say.” (Luke
12:12)
“This is the confidence we have in
approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And
if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked
of him.” – 1 John 5:14-15 NIV
