Jesus Christ, the Eternal Life!

“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty, for whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life." – John 6:35, 4:14 NIV

What Jesus is talking about in these verses is that He’s the way of eternal life (see John 14:6) – “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:3) This is why God sent Jesus as an image of Himself (Colossians 1:15) into the world to crucify Himself on the cross as an atonement of our sins, for ‘the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ (Romans 6:23) – “For God SO loved the world [heaven] that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall NOT perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) – “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26) This means that Jesus is the eternal life – “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does NOT have life.” (1 John 5:11-12)
However, we also HAVE to keep doing the will of God until the end of age with FULL-DEVOTION by obeying the Holy Spirit (see John 14:15-17 and John 14:26), in order to have eternal life, as ‘faith by itself, if it is NOT accompanied by action, is dead.’ (James 2:17) - “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who DOES the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” (Matthew 7:21-23)

Therefore, let’s NOT be the worldly people, for ‘we know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one’ (1 John 5:19), and let’s LIVE our lives as living sacrifice that is holy and pleasing to God by obeying the Holy Spirit with FULL-DEVOTION before the Lord – “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. For whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” (Romans 12:1-2, Galatians 6:8)
