The Children of God in Christ Jesus!

“… when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.” – Galatians 4:4-5 NIV

Because of Satan entering the world through one man, God decided to send His Son into the world, as an image of Himself (Colossians 1:15) to crucify Himself on the cross as an atonement of our sins to disarm the evil spiritual rulers and authorities in our lives (see Colossians 2:13-15) due to God’s abundant grace (see Romans 5:15-17); to redeem those under the law that we might receive adoption as the children of God (see John 1:12-13) – “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” (2 Corinthians 5:21):

‘“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.’ (1 Peter 2:24-25)

Even though Satan, the enemy of God is still in this world, he has fewer chances now to make us turn away from God, for “We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.” (1 John 5:19) This is because of the Holy Spirit, whom God, our heavenly poured into us, as our guidance/advocate/friend to help us in the walk with Him, (see 1 John 4:13), NOT with the world:

If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do NOT give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:15-17,26-27)

Therefore, we REALLY have to abide in the Spirit, for “…whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life,” (Galatians 6:8) by overcoming the world, and changing the way of thinking into purity, righteously, the truth, etc. (see Philippians 4:8):

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are NOT burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? I appeal to you therefore, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (1 John 5:1-5, Romans 12:1-2)
