“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together
in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:13-14 NIV
Even though we do not like our identities,
we ought to believe that we have been made fearfully and wonderfully. This is
because God, our Heavenly and Creator has created us in His image. (Genesis 1:27) Because of this, we can be
called the children of God if we believe and have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord
and Saviour. (John 1:12-13) This is the reason why He was
crucified and resurrected; to let us have relationship with God again. “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the
righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God…” (1 Peter 3:18) For this reason, Jesus Christ
have said, “I am the way and
the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
(John 14:6)
Moreover, God has distributed all kinds of
His gifts to the children of God through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-6), so we have to use
them to let others show who Jesus Christ is (Romans 12:6-8) for the glory (Colossians 3:4) and the kingdom of God. (Matthew 7:21) This is why Jesus has said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in
me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things
than these, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12)
You are the light
of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light
a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives
light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before
others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16)
But you are a
chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own
possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of
darkness into his marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)
All this is from
God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of
reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not
counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of
reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making
his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
(2 Corinthians 5:19-20)
Therefore, we have to praise God for making
us the children of Him to do good works in Christ Jesus.
For we are God’s
handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in
advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)
For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s
building.
By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder,
and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no
one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus
Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:9-11)
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness;
and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to
self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness,
mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these
qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and
unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not
have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed
from their past sins.
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your
calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and
you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:5-11)
In my case, God has
created me as a disabled person. However, I thank the Lord for giving me the
grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to become Christian Writer. Even though, I only
write devotionals for the glory (Colossians 3:4) and the kingdom of God (Matthew 7:21), I am willing to become a Christian
author in the future, even though it is going to be hard. This is because I
believe that it is the will of God for me to influence others spiritually
through writing.
