The Content of Ephesians 6:10-18!

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” – Ephesians 6:10-18 NIV

I thought writing devotional series about Ephesians 6:10-18 during the Advent season of 2016. However, I think my heart was on writing about Mark 8:31-38 because I wanted to prepare people’s hearts for Christmas, even though those verses are not about Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ. Now, I feel it is right time to write devotional series about Ephesians 6:10-18. God’s written word is so rich. Although I would like to do other things as well other than just writing devotionals, I actually do not mind how long it takes to write a devotional each day during the holiday season. To be more specific, I do not rush to finish them, in order to do other things.

Ephesians 6:10-18 is necessary Bible verses for all devoted followers to comprehend. Although I do not have any qualifications of theology yet, I would like people to grip those verses in their minds as mandatory instructions on how to wear the armour of God in all times. The reason for this is that Satan, the enemy of God, is prowling along to devour us, to make us feel unworthy to come to the Lord who is the way of the truthful life. In fact, he wants to destroy us and send us to hell at the end of our physical lives.
