When our soul is disturbing the relationship with God, we OUGHT to change our desires into godliness right away by putting our hope In Him, then seeking/pursuing after Him – “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour, for the sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.” (1 Peter 5:8, Galatians 5:17)
Therefore, we HAVE to stand FIRM in our faith in Jesus Christ by praying and reading the word of God daily, for ‘the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (Hebrews 4:12, Titus 2:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17) – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” – Colossians 3:1-3
